Dr. Slimack is an adult hip and knee reconstruction fellowship trained, board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Following his residency, he completed a prestigious fellowship at the University of Chicago under the training of world-renowned Dr. Henry Finn. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University during which time he was a 4-year varsity tennis player, serving as team captain as a senior.
Dr. Slimack’s practice is geared towards minimally invasive primary and complex hip and knee replacement. He regularly performs ANTERIOR minimally invasive hip replacement, which often results in a faster recovery and less postoperative pain for his patients.
He also performs specialized knee replacement using the newest technology which incorporates advanced imaging that allows the manufacturing of CUSTOMIZED patient-specific cutting guides leading to less invasive surgery. Both Dr. Slimack and Dr. Main together have performed the most Conformis custom partial knee replacements in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Dr. Slimack’s practice also focuses on sports medicine including knee arthroscopy and ACL reconstruction.
